We are currently recruiting reliable and experienced loader operators, sidewalk operators, and bus stop clearing to our roster for upcoming winter maintenance season located in the City of Mississauga.
What We Offer
· $25.00 per hour plus weekly standby
· Hourly bonus paid at end of each month (based on attendance, performance, ability)
· End of season bonus paid at contract completion based on performance, attendance, attitude, equipment care
· Well maintained new loaders, sidewalk machines and Isuzus
· Possibility of continuing work in summer months
Responsibilities
· Safely operate loader, sidewalk machine or Isuzu on assigned route while adhering to municipal bylaws and company policies
· Must conduct proper circle checks
· Maintain accurate documentation to complete the necessary paperwork
· Must wear proper PPE
What the Role Requires
· Must hold a valid driver's license, with 5 years proven experience
· Clean driver abstract
· The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience operating a loader or sidewalk machine or Isuzu
· Must be ON CALL 24/7 for the length of the contract to March 27, 2027
· Must be within 1 hour travel time of City of Mississauga works yard (Intersection of Mississauga Rd and West Credit Ave ) for on-call response
· Must have reliable transportation to and from work
· Good understanding of MTO standards
· Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
