As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an energetic and motivated Business Development Representative to help expand our client base and strengthen relationships within the construction, development, and property management industries.
Position Summary
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building relationships with industry stakeholders, and promoting PSquare's services. This is a client-facing role that requires confidence, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
The successful candidate will be comfortable meeting with clients in person, attending industry events, making phone calls, preparing proposals, and developing long-term business relationships. The role will involve working with contractors, developers, architects, building owners, property managers, and other industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities for PSquare's service offerings, including S1001 Integrated Testing, Building Code Consulting, Fire and Life Safety Engineering, and Remote Fire Watch Services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, architects, property managers, building owners, municipalities, and other industry stakeholders.
- Represent PSquare at client meetings, networking events, trade shows, industry functions, and project-related discussions.
- Conduct outreach through in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and other business development activities.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to support company growth and revenue objectives.
- Monitor public procurement websites and industry sources for RFQs, RFPs, and other business opportunities.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals, qualification packages, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Present PSquare's services to prospective clients and identify opportunities to support their projects.
- Maintain records of business development activities, client interactions, and opportunities using CRM and other management tools.
- Collaborate with technical staff to develop client-focused solutions and support proposal submissions.
- Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to identify emerging opportunities and strengthen PSquare's market presence.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of business development, sales, account management, marketing, or related experience in Canada.
- Experience working within the construction, engineering consulting, real estate development, building services, or property management industries.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with networking, cold calling, and in-person client meetings.
- Experience preparing proposals, RFQ responses, presentations, or business development materials.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle for client meetings and industry events.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network of contacts within the construction, development, architectural, engineering, or property management industries.
- Experience selling professional consulting services or technical services.
- Familiarity with public procurement processes and proposal preparation.
- Experience using CRM software such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of building construction, building systems, fire protection systems, or engineering consulting services.
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience, industry network, and qualifications.
In addition to base salary, PSquare offers performance-based incentives tied to business development activities, new client acquisition, and company growth.
Expected total compensation for a successful candidate may range from $80,000 to $110,000+ annually.

Location
This position is based in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, with local travel required for client meetings, networking events, and business development activities.
