Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Grader is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards before packaging. This role involves inspecting potatoes on the grading line, removing products that do not meet quality specifications, and supporting food safety and production standards in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect potatoes on the grading line and remove product that does not meet our quality specifications.
- Monitor product quality and report any deficiencies to the Production Supervisor or Food Safety & Quality Department.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Grading, or Production Supervisor.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of grading experience within the produce industry.
- Experience working with established quality specifications is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work overtime, various shifts (including shifts up to 12 hours), and weekends as required.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
