Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging math lessons to students across various age groups, including early childhood and special education settings. The Math Teacher will utilize instructional design techniques, leverage Learning Management Systems (LMS), and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs, including working with individuals with disabilities. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating instructional design principles.
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction tailored to students’ individual learning styles and needs, including those in special education or with disabilities.
- Utilize LMS platforms to track student progress, assign coursework, and communicate with students and parents effectively.
- Adapt teaching methods for early childhood education and work with children at various developmental stages.
- Provide tutoring sessions to reinforce concepts, clarify doubts, and support student academic achievement in math.
- Assess student performance through tests, quizzes, and informal assessments; provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop instructional materials and participate in professional development activities.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, motivation, and respect.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts across multiple grade levels, including early childhood education.
- Experience working with children in classroom settings; familiarity with classroom management techniques.
- Proficiency in using LMS platforms for instructional delivery and student tracking.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective instruction, collaboration, and parent engagement.
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate instructional design principles.
- Tutoring experience that demonstrates the ability to support diverse learners’ needs.
- Writing skills necessary for creating clear instructional materials, assessments, and reports.
