About The Opportunity:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Attendant to assist a 23-year-old female client who is a manual wheelchair user. The role involves providing support with daily living activities, maintaining a safe environment, and offering emotional and social support to improve the client's overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Living Assistance:
- Assist with cooking and meal preparation
- Provide mobility support, including helping with transfers and heavy lifting as necessary.
- Offer transportation assistance, ensuring safe and timely travel to appointments, social outings, or errands.
Light Housekeeping:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Must be able to keep up with cleaning list
Companionship & Emotional Support:
- Offer companionship and engage in conversations
Additional Information:
- The client is a young female manual wheelchair user, and this role requires hands-on assistance and mobility support.
- Training and guidance will be provided for tasks such as lifting and transfers.
- Flexibility in scheduling is preferred, with potential for both daytime and evening shifts.
- Must be ok with dogs and cats as there are two dogs and cats in the home. They are very friendly!
