WHAT WE NEED
3E Power Services is looking for an experienced, hands-on Fabrication and Shop Supervisor to lead our fabrication shop. This is a working supervisor role — approximately 75% hands-on fabrication and 25% coordination and leadership. You're a senior fabricator or shop foreman with strong technical credibility, ready to grow into a formal supervisory role, and known in the shop as the person others go to for guidance and training.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead day-to-day shop operations while staying active on the floor — welding, fabricating, and assembling alongside the team
- Assign work and coordinate daily schedules based on project priorities, adjusting as needed to meet customer commitments
- Translate engineering drawings into practical fabrication plans and shop workflows
- Review and provide input on design and engineering concepts from a fabrication and build-flow perspective, including feasibility, sequencing, and cost
- Serve as a go-to technical resource in the shop — troubleshooting, quality review, and hands-on training for fabrication personnel
- Support prototype development and help transition new designs into repeatable fabrication processes
- Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Project Management to keep materials, drawings, and schedules aligned
- Coordinate maintenance, inspections, and repairs for the company's fleet, tools, equipment, and facilities
- Promote and enforce safe work practices, and ensure fabricated products meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Provide day-to-day leadership to shop personnel, including recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring support
- Communicate shop progress, resource needs, and any risks to schedule, quality, or safety to management
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or electrical construction
- Currently working as a Senior Fabricator, Lead Hand, or Shop Foreman, ready to take the next step into a formal supervisory role
- Recognized as a go-to technical resource for troubleshooting, quality review, and training or mentoring other fabricators
- Comfortable reviewing and influencing design and build flow, with an understanding of how decisions affect cost and schedule
- Strong communication skills and a practical, hands-on leadership style
- Red Seal or equivalent trade certification considered an asset
