Mine Cable Services Corporation designs and manufactures high voltage cable connection systems including high voltage cable couplers in conjunction with cable repair equipment and materials, cable repair training and services, and rental equipment.
Mine Cable Services is currently looking for a temporary Labourer to join our team, this role includes full training and has the possibility of becoming a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
This temporary position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values accuracy, and wants the opportunity to grow into a Cable Repair Technician role.
Mine Cable Services will train the Cable Repair Labourer in the following:
- Maintain a safe and proper work environment for yourself and other. Keep work areas neat and free of debris.
- Assist in cable fault location and repairing of cables of various sizes and voltages using a variety of techniques and materials: Vulcanized Splice or Cable Vulcanizing Oven, Various phase – jacket repairs, Terminations
- Assist in assembly and/or installation of couplers onto cable
- Assist in assemble/repair of junction boxes
Additional Information:
- Scheduled hours of work: 6 hours a day, Monday to Thursday 8am – 2:30pm
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Mechanically inclined and able to use various hand tools
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
