Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in electrical construction and maintenance, providing hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems. The apprentice will work under the supervision of licensed electricians to develop skills in wiring, troubleshooting, and installing electrical components in various construction and industrial settings. The position emphasizes safety, technical proficiency, and professional growth within the electrical trade.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute electrical tasks accurately
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit bending, and component installation
- Work with low voltage systems as well as high voltage equipment following safety protocols
- Support the setup and disassembly of electrical systems during construction projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on-site
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to promote a safe working environment for yourself and team members
Requirements
- Prior experience or background in residential and commercial electrical construction is preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, blueprint reading, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring and general construction practices is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while following instructions from supervising electricians
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory; reliable transportation is essential for job site access
Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour
