Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator / Reach Truck Operator to support our Hearn Industrial Services team. The Forklift Operator / Reach Truck Operator will be responsible for moving, loading, and unloading automotive parts, materials, and equipment within the warehouse and production areas. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient material flow, accurate stock handling, and safe workplace practices.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Forklift / Reach Truck Functions
· Operate forklifts / reach trucks and other material-handling equipment to transport automotive parts and supplies
· Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently
· Move inventory to designated storage areas and production lines
· Move finished/picked products to appropriate auditing/staging area
· Assist with organizing warehouse layouts to optimize space and workflow
· Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
· Support inventory control by ensuring accurate placement and movement of stock
· Use inventory management system to document material moves
· Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet operational goals
Safety and Compliance
· Follow OSHA and company safety and quality guidelines in handling automotive parts and equipment
· Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to pass in-house forklift operator safety and operational certifications
· Previous experience in warehouse or automotive parts handling preferred
· Strong attention to safety and detail
· Ability to lift and move heavy automotive parts and materials
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Knowledge of automotive parts and warehouse operations
· Experience with inventory management systems
· Ability to operate multiple types of material-handling equipment
