Everest Signs, established in 1986, is a CSA-certified, full-service signage company operating from a 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Toronto (GTA East). We specialize in the in-house design, manufacturing and installation of all types of illuminated and non-illuminated signage using our own fleet of crane trucks, bucket trucks and specialized equipment.
To support our continued growth throughout Ontario, we are establishing a dedicated Foundation Installation Division responsible for installing concrete foundations for pylon signs, monument signs and other sign structures.

Foundation Installation Crew Leader – Signage
Job Description
Everest Signs is seeking an experienced, dependable and motivated Foundation Installation Crew Leader to establish and lead our new field foundation installation crew.
This is a hands-on leadership position reporting directly to the Project Manager and Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting equipment to project sites, operating company-owned equipment, installing concrete foundations and supervising a crew of two to three workers on projects throughout Ontario.
The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in producing quality work and is capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Duties Include
- Lead and supervise a two- to three-person foundation installation crew.
- Safely transport company pickup truck, trailer, skid steer and materials to project sites.
- Operate Bobcat MT52 skid steer with auger attachment.
- Perform excavation of round concrete foundations ranging approximately from 8" diameter × 4 ft deep to 30" diameter × 8 ft deep.
- Read site drawings and foundation layouts.
- Verify underground utility locates before excavation.
- Install sonotubes, reinforcing steel cages and anchor bolt templates.
- Install conduit sleeves where required.
- Coordinate concrete deliveries and placement.
- Ensure anchor bolts are accurately positioned, levelled and aligned.
- Finish concrete foundations to specification.
- Backfill, compact and restore disturbed areas.
- Maintain daily records, photographs and progress reports.
- Ensure work complies with project drawings, municipal requirements and company quality standards.
- Coordinate with Project Managers regarding schedules, materials and project progress.
- Maintain company vehicles, trailers, skid steer, augers and tools in clean and safe operating condition.
- Train, mentor and supervise helpers.
- Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
- Assist with sign installations when required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum five years of experience in concrete foundation construction, excavation, civil construction or related field.
- Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators or similar compact equipment.
- Experience towing equipment trailers.
- Ability to read construction drawings and foundation layouts.
- Experience setting sonotubes, reinforcing steel, anchor bolts and concrete forms.
- Good understanding of concrete placement and finishing.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel throughout Ontario.
- Willingness to stay overnight during weekdays in company-provided accommodations.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with clean driving record.
- AZ or DZ licence considered an asset.
- Experience in any of the following is considered an asset:
