Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Respite Caregivers to provide essential support and relief to our family by providing caregiving assistance. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized care that promotes comfort, safety, and independence for our 29 year old son with disabilities, Your energetic and positive approach will help create a nurturing environment, ensuring he receives the highest quality of care. Duties
- Provide attentive care and assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and hygiene support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Administer oral medications accurately according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Promote activation and supervision in engaging activities in the local community to promote social wellbeing
- Offer emotional support and compassion to promote mental well-being
- provide continuous supervision and monitoring to prevent injury
- Follow all safety protocols and report any changes in the client’s condition promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care with compassion and professionalism
- Knowledge of medication administration, and basic personsl care tasks
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties and meal preparation efficiently
- Physical stamina for participating in physical exercise programs including swimming
- Excellent communication skills with family and a caring attitude towards client
- willingness to learn basic ASL and keen observation skills for nonverbal communication cues.
