Machine Operator
As a Machine Operator, you play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You are responsible for loading, monitoring, and inspecting products throughout the production process to ensure only first-quality products are delivered to our customers. Atlantic Braids is an ISO-certified manufacturer, and all employees are expected to follow established quality management procedures and standards.

Primary Responsibilities
- Load braiding machines in accordance with production requirements.
- Follow job travellers and production documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, quality concerns, material issues, or production challenges to the Production Manager immediately.
- Communicate effectively with upstream and downstream team members regarding job specifications, production requirements, and potential impacts on workflow.
- Understand, follow, and contribute to Atlantic Braids' ISO quality management procedures and work instructions.
- Remove residual yarn from bobbins to ensure an adequate supply of empty bobbins for production.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- With training and experience, maximize machine productivity while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform receiving and rewinding of core materials as required.
- Utilize computer systems for production reporting, data entry, and operational tasks.

- Demonstrate reliability by arriving on time, maintaining attendance standards, and following company policies and procedures.

- Perform any other duties as assigned to support business operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to safely perform job duties, follow work instructions, understand ISO documentation, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable using computers and basic software applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Previous manufacturing experience is considered an asset but is not required.
