Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a cook. As a cook, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, handling, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. Duties:
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by the chef or supervisor to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen
Skills:
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
