Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized self-starter to handle our Payroll and Accounts Payable to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in the company's payroll and accounts payable processes. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software, namely QuickBooks, Easy Pay & Microsoft Office.
Duties
- Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees **(Union & Non-Union)**
- Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime
- Calculate bonuses and commissions when appropriate
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll
- Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to supervisor
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness before payment.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in Payroll/Accounts Payable
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
