Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while ensuring the integrity of financial data. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in various accounting software. The Financial Controller will play a key role in strategic planning and decision-making processes within the organization.
Duties
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to maintain optimal cash flow.
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against targets.
- Supervise payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for financial reporting and analysis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and payroll processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments and present financial information clearly.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
- $90,000-$100,000 Base
