Overview
We are seeking a Level 2 or 3 Early Childhood Educator for Toddler classroom to join our team. As an educator, you will play a vital role in educating and nurturing young minds in a supportive, child-centered environment.
Key Duties
- Take initiative to organize and complete daily tasks efficiently
- Lead a classroom with confidence while being a collaborative team player
- Demonstrate strong active supervision and positive behaviour guidance
- Practice an authoritative caregiving style that balances warmth and structure
- Create engaging lesson plans that promote learning, creativity, and socialization
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress
- Foster a classroom culture that encourages exploration, growth, and curiosity
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
- Solid knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to plan and deliver developmentally appropriate programs
- Strong skills in guiding and educating young learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
Requirements
- Calgary Police Service background check with vulnerable sector search (within the last 6 months)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification (Level 2 or 3)
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning
