Sign Fabricator / Installer
Fine Lines Signs has been helping businesses with their signage needs for over 40 years. We continue to grow and are looking for a new team member to join us.
We fabricate and install high-quality custom signs of all sizes throughout North America. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems and seeing a design become a finished product, this could be a great fit for you.
This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. Compensation will be based on experience and overall fit with our team.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom signs and supporting structures
- Cut, weld, grind and assemble aluminum and steel components
- Read and work from drawings and production specifications
- Operate power tools and shop equipment safely
- Assist with sign assembly and installation
- Identify and solve problems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work with the production team to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Drive a pick up truck with trailer
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s licence
- Able to commute to our shop in Hamilton
- Welding experience
- Metalworking and fabrication experience
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools and shop equipment
- Able to read measurements and production drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communicator and team player
- Able to remain professional when challenges arise
- Reliable, punctual and safety-minded
- Previous sign-industry experience is an asset
- CNC operation, Vinyl print/cutting/application is an asset
