Welder/Fabricator
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components to meet project specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects including structural steel fabrication, and custom assemblies within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and Alloy welding on a variety of metals according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
- Operate fabrication equipment such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, and power tools
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure precise cuts and welds
- Conduct machining operations as needed for component fitting
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations
- Use schematics for assembly instructions and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding (MIG) with knowledge of plasma cutting, and hand tools
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with rigging, forklift operation, machining, and use of power tools
- Experience with construction or manufacturing environments preferred
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Pay: $62,200.00-$83,200.00 per year
