Job description:
Penner Oil has been in business for over 30 years as a wholesale distributor of petroleum products. The primary business of the company is sales and distribution of gasoline & diesel fuel and oil products in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and northwestern Ontario. Our customers are mostly rural, and range from service stations, bulk fuel dealers and farmers, to First Nation gasoline stations on outlying reserves as well as urban reserve stations. This is a great, diverse workplace with many long-term employees.
About the position:
· Service fleet equipment.
- Including performing scheduled maintenance.
· Inspect fleet equipment to ensure road worthiness.
· Operate various machines and equipment.
· Provides appropriate tools for own use.
· Clean work area as well as shop when required.
· Clean fleet equipment as required.
· Maintain supplies and parts inventory.
· Travel to complete offsite service and emergency response as required.
· Assist with yard maintenance as required, including but not limited to snow removal.
· Adhere to workplace safety policies, procedures, regulations, and compliances.
· Complete and maintain the following training/certifications.
- WHMIS
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- Class 5 license
- Others as assigned
· Follow direction of lead hand/supervisor.
· Maintain appropriate professional behaviour.
· Advance through apprenticeship program at pace deemed appropriate by management, on a case-by-case basis.
· Support sales and marketing team during off-site events
. Other duties as assigned.
