Title: Operations Manager

We are seeking an Operations Manager will be responsible for spearheading the day-to-day operations of our Distribution Center (DC). As the backbone of our operational strategy, the Operations Manager will coordinate the fluid movement of goods from induction and sortation, route planning, returns, dispatch and on-road delivery support. The Operations Manager will be accountable for the station’s performance in meeting the company’s KPI performance metrics.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Managing and coordinating a variety of operational activities including induction and sortation, route planning, returns, dispatch, and on-road delivery support
- Overall accountability of the delivery station’s performance
- Leading a dedicated team of supervisors, dispatchers, and Vendors fostering an environment that promotes teamwork, performance, and continuous improvement
- Developing and implementing innovative strategies to optimize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ensure the seamless running of the station, being readily available to provide hands-on support to the team as needed
- Coaching and mentoring of a team, overseeing the performance and the overall performance of the station, and implementing corrective actions where necessary to meet the company’s KPI targets
- Collaborating closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure a holistic, cohesive approach to operations
- Advocate safe driving practices both on the road and in the delivery station
- Effectively delegate tasks as needed
- Coordinate preventative maintenance service for facility equipment
- Ensure that the facility is compliant with Occupational Health and Safety standards
- Understand and utilize full suite of the Fleet Optics software, including phone app, online portal, tracking page, etc.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum two (2) years experience in an operations supervisory/managerial role, preferably within the transportation and logistics industry
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire a high performing team
- Excellent problem-solving skill with the ability to navigate complex operational challenges and deliver effective solutions
- Post secondary education in logistics, supply chain, operations considered an asset
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Some understanding of IT preferred
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Results orientated mindset, strong attention to detail, with a keen focus on meeting and exceeding set KPIs
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills required
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Geographical knowledge of Calgary preferred

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
