Warehouse Materials Handler / Order Picker
Location: Rockton, Ontario (Transportation required, no bus route)

Job Summary
The Warehouse Materials Handler/Order Picker provides production and warehouse support to the organization, including order picking, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies from pick lists.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labelling and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording the location of all inventory.
- Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
- Receive return material and supplies from production by verifying materials, supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities before placing materials back into stock.
- Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading and securing all product.
- Maintain material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections of equipment.
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage systems.
- Plan work and assign tasks for assistants when necessary.
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (in/out status reports, dead stock reports).
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of product provided.
- Keep warehouse, yard and trailers organized, tidy and safe.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company policies, procedures, rules and recommendations.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as required.
- Maintain open communication with the General Manager of Operations.
- Perform other duties as required based on production needs and requirements.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required by company policy and applicable legislation.
Education, Experience & Competency Requirements
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or production environment is considered an asset.
- Forklift, Raymond Reach Truck and Order Picker certifications are considered assets. Please indicate on your resume and/or cover letter if you hold these certifications.
- Superior time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and daily operational requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute positively to a team environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to make decisions regarding product quality and inventory accuracy.
- Strong safety awareness and ability to identify potential hazards.
- Familiarity with basic tools and warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail when identifying products, quantities and packaging requirements.
- Reliable transportation is required. The production facility is not accessible by public transit.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and production environment.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.

Expected Hours
40-44 hours per week, with overtime as required during peak production periods.
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
