The Grande Prairie Public School Division invites applications for a Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter. This role is responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of Division systems, including air conditioning, boilers, DDC controls, and plumbing and heating infrastructure. The successful will demonstrate strong technical expertise, current industry knowledge, and the ability to support both special projects and general maintenance activities.
This position also supports the overall maintenance of all school buildings, grounds, and equipment contributing to a safe and functional environment for students, employees, and the public. All Maintenance Department team members are expected to support and assist with general maintenance duties, regardless of trade specialization, as required.
Salary is commensurate with training and experience. The annual salary range for this position is $68,931 - $92,185. GPPSD offers maintenance apprenticeship support.

Experience & Qualifications:

Journeyperson Plumber/Gasfitter status awarded by Alberta's Apprenticeship and Industry Training

Interprovincial Standards Red Seal preferred

3 years' experience leading commercial and industrial plumbing projects

A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license in good standing

Strict adherence to safety standards

Inspect, estimate, and manage plumbing projects
