Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute precise finishing tasks
- Install cabinets, countertops, trim, moldings, and other woodwork components with accuracy and care
- Perform restoration work on existing structures, ensuring seamless integration with original finishes
- Apply construction painting techniques to achieve smooth, durable surfaces that enhance aesthetic appeal
- Lay tiles and install flooring materials following specified patterns and measurements
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for assembly, caulking, sanding, and finishing work
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications
- Support heavy lifting activities and reassembly efforts during final phases of construction projects
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on carpentry or woodworking projects
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes
- Knowledge of tile laying, flooring installation, siding, roofing, and caulking methods
- Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to finishing work
- Previous handyman experience or involvement in manufacturing environments is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently
