Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and clamp trucks to facilitate the efficient movement of goods throughout the facility. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform order picking tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate placement of goods.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders.
- Perform order picking duties with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer requests.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of products as needed, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar environments is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and clamp trucks; certification is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
