Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Front Staff member to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent service to our guests, ensuring smooth operations at the front counter, and maintaining a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, cashiering, and possess strong communication skills. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a professional manner
- Handle food preparation tasks according to safety and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer transactions accurately and efficiently using basic math skills
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen and serving stations
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met during food handling and serving
- Assist with food service duties such as serving orders, refilling supplies, and managing customer requests
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Support team members as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, especially in serving or cashiering roles
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Familiarity with food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; weekend availability is a plus
