Interested in finding a positive, capable and reliable person to provide direct support and partnership with a young man in North York within his home and daily life. He enjoys puzzles, music, story-telling and being outdoors, specifically in his local neighbourhood and park.
We are looking for someone who has availability for all or some of:
Saturday: 10am – 5pm
Sunday: 8am – 10pm
Tuesday: 9am – 5pm
Thursday: 4:30pm – 10pm
Friday: 4:30pm – 10 pm
- An understanding of the importance of a peaceful home and an interest in helping maintain a secure, comfortable and pleasant space
- A willingness to learn about who he is and what his interests, goals and contributions are
- Collaborative skills in working together with family and fellow support people
- An openness to various styles of communication such as noticing patterns over time, observing body language and listening carefully to his preferences
- A patient and calm demeanour
- Comfort in supporting his personal care
Assets:
Experience with personal care, including hygiene

*This is a self-employed position. Communication and payment happen directly between the support person and the family. $25/hour.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
