Position Summary
Professional and detail-oriented Appliance Installer responsible for the safe installation and testing of residential kitchen and laundry appliances. The role requires strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently at client locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, microwaves, washers, dryers, and hood fans
- Disconnect and remove old appliances when required
- Connect water lines, drainage systems, and electrical connections in accordance with safety standards
- Perform hinge reversals and panel installations where applicable
- Test installed appliances to ensure proper functionality
- Complete and submit required documentation (POI forms, job completion photos, service notes)
- Communicate with office staff regarding job status, pricing adjustments, and site conditions
- Identify and report site issues (improper plumbing, electrical concerns, cabinetry misalignment)/Millwork
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Provide professional customer service during all client interactions
- Keep your portion of the company CRM up to date and accurate.
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of appliance installation experience is an asset (training will be provided)
- Experience installing high-end appliances (e.g., Sub-Zero/Wolf/Cove, Gaggenau, Miele, Thermador, JennAir, Dacor, Fisher & Paykel, Monogram) (preferred)
- Gas license (G1 preferred; G2 is also a strong asset) — not required; willingness to obtain is an asset
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical connections for residential appliances (preferred)
- Ability to read installation manuals and manufacturer specifications
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable using mobile apps and digital job management systems
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and internal processes
- Valid G Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Must have own vehicle / reliable transportation for work
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Working at Heights certification (asset)
- WHMIS certification (asset)
