Nova Construction Co. Ltd. (Nova) is a driving force in the road building industry. Over the years, Nova has built, upgraded and/or paved more than 500 miles of highway in Newfoundland, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for the provincial and federal governments. Well known for our expertise in “earth moving”, Nova produces aggregates, pavements (highways, roads, parking lots and driveways), builds bridges and marine infrastructure and operates open pit mines for coal and gypsum.
Due to an increase in 2026-2027 contract work, we are looking to hire for the following roles on various projects through-out Nova Scotia.
· Asphalt Plant Operators & Personnel,
· Asphalt Equipment Operators – Rollers & Pavers,
· Blasters,
· Crushing Plant Operators & Personnel,
· Drillers and Drilling Assistants,
· Formwork Carpenters,
· Heavy Equipment Operators – Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Rollers & Off-Road Haul Trucks,
· Heavy Equipment Mechanic (mobile),
· Labourers – General, Concrete, & Asphalt,
· Pipe Layers,
· Traffic Control Personnel,
· Truck Drivers – Class 1 & Class 3,
· Truck & Transport Mechanic,
We offer competitive wages depending on experience and role, along with accommodations and living out allowances when working on projects outside of commutable range from ones’ home. Transportation to projects sites from our Antigonish and Digby operations. Pay rate based on experience.
