Eastern Shore Wellness is seeking a dedicated Foot Care Nurse with Gouge Blade Training to join our team.
Your approach to foot care should be client-centered, emphasizing comfort, education, and a thorough understanding of each individual's needs.
Your Foot Care Approach should have the following key components:
Client Comfort and Environment: Creates a warm, welcoming, and relaxed environment for clients.
Comprehensive Assessment: Completes a thorough assessment at each visit, including:
Skin integrity
Nail health
Corns and calluses
Circulation concerns
Pressure areas
Footwear assessment
Sock assessment
Interdigital assessment
Mobility and self-care ability
Client Engagement: Encourages clients to discuss concerns, discomfort, or changes in foot health.
Comfort Measures: Utilizes comfort measures such as warm towels, proper positioning, and reassurance.
Transparent Treatment Process: Explains each step of the treatment process before and during care.
Safe and Effective Care: Performs nail care safely, including trimming and filing of nails, and provides callus and corn reduction when appropriate.
Open Communication: Discusses findings openly with clients throughout treatment.
Client Education: Educates clients on the causes of foot concerns rather than simply treating symptoms. Provides individualized education on:
Footwear
Pressure management
Skin care
