Handyman – Full-Time (GTA West)
GCBS Group, a rapidly growing building services company, is seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team full-time. This role involves performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and renovation tasks at client sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) West. The ideal candidate will be versatile, resourceful, and comfortable working independently while providing exceptional service across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities

- Complete general handyman and building maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall repairs, patching holes, replacing ceiling tiles, and basic building repairs.
- Repair and replace damaged floor tiles, including VCT and ceramic tile.
- Fix and maintain doors, locks, handles, shelves, fixtures, and other building components.
- Perform routine inspections and identify maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
- Complete basic plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing faucets or fixtures (an asset).
- Complete basic electrical repairs such as replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, and bulbs (an asset).
- Assemble, install, and repair furniture, equipment, shelving, and other workplace items as needed.
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other equipment required for the job.
- Keep accurate records of completed work, materials used, and service reports.
- Load, unload, organize, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to various job sites.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, site staff, and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or in a related trade
- Must provide and maintain your own tools
- Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel extensively throughout the GTA
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently
- Working at Heights certification is an asset
- Availability to work overnight shifts when required
Compensation
- $30–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
