Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard/Concierge to ensure the safety and security of our premises. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is a plus, along with familiarity with CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials and guest identities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
- Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity within the property
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, following established protocols
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and visitor entries/exits
- Provide assistance and directions to visitors, acting as a courteous concierge
- Enforce property policies related to safety, security, and loss prevention
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
Skills
- Strong knowledge of law enforcement procedures and security protocols
- Experience with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring
- Ability to perform loss prevention activities effectively while maintaining professionalism
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for interacting with visitors, staff, and emergency responders
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred but not required
This is for an overnight Mon-Fri shift (11pm-7am)
*We are also looking for volunteers. Free drinks and lunch will be provided.
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
