Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Must have sheet metal experience, ODP License and Gas License.
This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving HVAC issues while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. As an HVAC technician, you should possess strong technical skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Responsibilities
- · Determining the needs of the client.
- · Installing ventilation and air conditioning systems.
- · Addressing mechanical and electrical issues with HVAC systems.
- · Become involved in technical training.
- · Ensuring adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and appliance standards.
- · Meeting client demands, work instructions, and service standards.
- · Assisting coworkers and team members
- Old systems removal
- Putting in new systems
- Interacting with customers and clients
- Observing local HVAC regulations
- Installing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- Assisting with customers' queries.
- Diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning equipment, such as refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and heating pumps.
- Performing installations of new heating and cooling systems.
- Troubleshooting issues with electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.
- Adhering to safety procedures and guidelines while on job sites.
- Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of boiler systems in practice.

- · Ability to work on holidays, weekends, and after hours with little or no notice
- · The ability to operate in confined areas
- · Removing outdated HVAC systems to make room for new ones
- · Putting in ductwork and pipes
- · Understanding and reading wiring diagrams
- · Understanding the cycles of refrigeration
- · Understanding the meaning of different technical data, such as pressure and temperature
- · Experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
- · Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
- · Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
- · Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- · Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- · Knowledge of heating and cooling systems, including refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and heating pumps
- · Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be physically fit and able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Willingness to continue education and training to stay current with industry developments and advancements
- Knowledge of modern refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning principles.

- Must be able to work flexible and extended hours as required.
- RELIABILITY Security Clearance
- A valid license for HVAC technicians, ODB, Gas License (G1), Sheet metal
Valid driver’s license.
