Job Summary:
The Senior Production Studio Manager leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of all digital productions across the studio, including web platforms, mobile applications, and game development projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and meet high standards for quality, usability, and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Production & Delivery-
Oversee end-to-end production of web, app, and game development projects

Work with the PMO to build and manage project plans, timelines, sprints, and milestones

Ensure alignment between creative, technical, and product goals

Leverage community centered consultation and co-design occurs to ensure products meet community needs

Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives (Agile/Scrum)

Drive on-time, high-quality delivery across multiple concurrent projects

Work with Programming teams to build mentorship and lifecycle learning into every project
- Clarify priorities, remove blockers, and keep teams focused and accountable
People Leadership & Team Development-
Provide direct leadership, coaching, and support to production studio team members, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.

Coordinate cross-functional teams (developers, designers, content creators, educators)

Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development processes for studio staff and contractors
- Work with Operations and Impact teams to set clear goals, expectations, and accountability measures, ensuring team members understand priorities and deliverables.

Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development planning conversations to support employee growth and career progression.

Identify skills gaps and training needs, creating opportunities for mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning across the team.

Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention through effective communication, recognition, and responsive leadership.

Support succession planning and workforce development to ensure long-term sustainability and capacity within the production team.

Technical & Creative Oversight-
Work with the PMO to translate project requirements into actionable production plans

Ensure seamless collaboration between production teams and contractors

Maintain quality standards across user experience, performance, and functionality
Stakeholder Management-
Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders

Communicate timelines, risks, and progress clearly and proactively

Align production priorities with organizational goals and program needs
Budget & Resource Management-
Develop and manage production budgets and resourcing plans

Allocate team capacity across projects effectively

Identify risks and adjust timelines/resources as needed
Quality & Evaluation-
Implement QA processes for web, app, and game releases

Ensure testing, iteration, and continuous improvement are embedded in workflows

Track performance metrics and user feedback to inform future builds
Attributes and Qualifications: Equal consideration will be given to non-academic skills and experiences of candidates.

4–8 years in digital production, product management, or technical project management

Experience managing web, mobile, or game development projects

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet defined requirements

Teams are aligned, productive, and clear on priorities

High-quality digital products with strong user engagement

Scalable production processes that support multiple builds simultaneously

Experience in game-based learning or educational technology is an asset
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, GitHub, Figma, or similar is an asset
- Understanding of UX/UI best practices and accessibility standards is an asset
