Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter Helper/Labourer to support our construction and renovation projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, reliable, and capable of assisting skilled carpenters and tradespeople in completing quality projects efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Help with cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, and siding projects, site cleaning.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Participate in restoration work, including drywall repair, painting preparation, and caulking.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling to support project timelines.
- Support general construction activities such as framing, assembly, siding installation, and handyman tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Prior experience in renovation construction or woodworking
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, safety protocols is a plus.
- Experience with masonry, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, or concrete forming is advantageous.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques such as cabinetry installation or woodworking enhances suitability for the role.
- Candidates with handyman experience or electrical/plumbing background are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces is essential.
Requirements
- Bilingual is an asset French & English
- Valid G driver’s licence
- Own vehicle
- Criminal record check required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
