Argus Security International Inc. is currently seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused security guard to join our team at a warehouse facility in Brantford.
This is a full -time weekday position at a busy warehouse and logistics operation where professionalism, attention to detail, and strong observation skills are a must.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:30AM to 3:30PM, Full-Time, Day Shifts.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will provide a visible security presence while protecting employees, visitors, contractors, and company assets. This position requires a proactive individual who enjoys interacting with people while maintaining a safe, secure, and professional work environment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Control access to the facility by verifying employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
- Use hand wand and walk-through metal detectors
- Monitor all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering and leaving the property.
- Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the warehouse, offices, parking areas, and perimeter.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and report suspicious activity immediately.
- Complete digital patrol reports, daily activity reports, and incident reports.
- Respond professionally to alarms, emergencies, and security-related incidents.
- Enforce site rules, health and safety policies, and client procedures.
- Assist with emergency evacuations and provide direction during emergency situations.
- Maintain regular communication with the Argus Security Operations Centre and site management.
- Observe for unsafe conditions, security vulnerabilities, and maintenance concerns, reporting them promptly.
- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional security presence at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for digital reporting.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, or industrial security experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to maintain full attention to assigned responsibilities by refraining from personal mobile phone use while on duty, except during authorized breaks or emergencies.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
