About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is a full- time, on-site opportunity for a skilled machinist who is confident setting up and operating CNC equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and producing high-quality precision components. The successful candidate will have strong experience with CNC turning and milling, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, safety, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related machining equipment.
- Perform CNC turning and milling operations to produce precision components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot machining issues as required.
- Maintain optimal machine performance and follow preventative maintenance procedures.
- Monitor tooling, cutting conditions, and machine performance.
- Identify and resolve production or quality issues.
- Work closely with machinists, supervisors, and other production team members to meet production deadlines.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Qualifications Requirements
- Proven experience in a precision CNC machining environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with CNC turning and milling.
- Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and inspection methods.
- CNC programming experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of industry-standard safety and quality assurance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- CNC machining, manufacturing, or related technical diploma/certification is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
