Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations.
Our office is not corporate owned, and have a small but tight-knit team. We are looking for a compassionate team player to join our drama-free office!
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments efficiently, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Akitu One.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Assist with insurance verification and claims processing, including calling insurance companies.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to ensure a welcoming environment for patients.
- Collaborate with other dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication throughout the office.
- Managing clinic's social media
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a medical or dental office is an asset.
- Other customer service experience is an asset.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology is an asset.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out processes, and billing procedures.
- Fluency in French or in Korean is a strong asset.
- Dental assistant certificate and/or HARP certification is a strong asset.

- Dental receptionist: 2 years (preferred)
