Join our vibrant team as an Overnight Barista! This role is perfect for passionate coffee enthusiasts who thrive during overnight hours. As an Overnight team member, you'll be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional service, and ensuring our café runs smoothly during the overnight shift and prepare the store for morning operations.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Handle cashing out customers, managing cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, adhering to food handling regulations
- Assist with food service tasks including basic food prep, serving snacks or light meals, and maintaining inventory levels
- Deliver outstanding customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions, and ensuring a positive café experience
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or café experience is highly preferred, demonstrating knowledge of coffee preparation and serving techniques
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and food industry standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during overnight hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
