Can-Traffic is looking for an experienced and reliable Fleet Automotive Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a diverse fleet of Ford and Chevrolet vehicles including Ford diesel units. Strong diagnostic abilities, electrical knowledge, and a commitment to safe, high-quality work are essential.
You’ll also work closely with our Shop Foreman and Heavy Equipment Technicians, supporting overall fleet operations and ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

What you will do Everyday
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles (Ford and Chevrolet, gas and diesel)
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using proper tools and techniques
- Service and repair A/C systems (recovery, charging, and component replacement)
- Work collaboratively with the Shop Foreman and Heavy Equipment Technicians to coordinate workflow and repairs
- Accurately document all work performed in digital systems
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Participate in a rotating schedule, working every second Saturday
- Perform other fleet-related duties as assigned
Skills Required
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for teamwork and problem-solving
- Solid understanding of 12V electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to assess repair decisions with consideration for safety, reliability, and cost
- Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities
- Physically capable of performing labour-intensive work in varying weather conditions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools
Qualifications Needed
- Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Journeyman technician
