The Township of North Huron Recreation Department is seeking up to three (3) positive, team oriented, professional individuals to join our Aquatics team and support the aquatics programming at the Wescast Community Complex Pool. Part-time opportunities for Summer and Fall 2026.
Duties include: Planning, implementing, and delivering swimming lessons, providing safe and enjoyable drop-in aquatic programs, and maintaining proper pool records in accordance with Ontario Health Regulations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current National Lifeguard, LSS Swim Instructors, and Standard First Aid with CPR C & AED
- Experience planning and conducting LSS Swim Program, guarding busy recreational swims, and working with adults, children and youth of various ages and abilities
- Valid/Current Vulnerable Sector check required
- One (1) years' experience as an Assistant Instructor Lifeguard
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Rate of Pay: Band 2 ($18.28 – 23.22 per hour).
Hours of Work: Part-time, up to 30 hours per week (there are a variety of shifts available including daytime, evening and weekend).
