Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, possess strong food and beverage knowledge, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment where teamwork and professionalism are valued. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with food safety standards are preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, including Micros POS, ensuring timely communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist guests with questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, or special requests to ensure a positive dining experience
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables simultaneously during busy periods
- Follow all food handling and safety protocols to ensure guest health and safety are prioritized
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for billing, making change, and processing payments accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not mandatory
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and upselling opportunities
