Site Description:
Maryvale is a longstanding children’s mental health treatment centre in Windsor, Ontario, providing specialized care and support for youth and families. The site features a campus-style environment focused on safety, wellbeing, privacy, and compassionate community-based services
Key responsibilities:

Patrol Campus Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of campus premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.

Inspect and screen bags or cargo using equipment or hands

Perform searches of passengers with tools or by hand

Monitor and screen passengers through screening checkpoints and other procedures

Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to policies and procedures.

Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.

Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.

Collaboration with Treatment Centre Staff: Work closely with Centre staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved.

Enforce Policies: Ensure that policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed. Address any violations in a manner that upholds hospital safety standards.
Prerequisites:

Valid Security License for the province of Ontario

Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)

1+ years of relevant security experience

English (oral and written) fluency is a must

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
