Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Ice Technician/Zamboni Driver to maintain and operate ice resurfacing equipment at our facility. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality ice surfaces for skating, hockey, and other recreational activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, experience with maintenance, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A background in plumbing, welding, boiler operation, HVAC systems, or appliance repair is highly desirable to support the upkeep of ice-making equipment and facility infrastructure.
Duties
- Operate Zamboni and other ice resurfacing machines safely and efficiently to maintain optimal ice conditions.
- Perform routine maintenance on ice-making and refrigeration equipment, including boilers, HVAC systems, and mechanical components.
- Conduct inspections of the ice surface and underlying systems to identify potential issues or safety hazards.
- Repair and troubleshoot mechanical problems using schematics, mechanical knowledge, and construction experience.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and quick resolution of technical issues.
Experience
- Prior experience operating Zamboni or similar ice resurfacing equipment is preferred.
- Previous work as a mechanic or in facility maintenance roles will be considered a strong asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems independently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards are essential for success in this role.
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
