The Opportunity
Hello Darlin’ is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Bartender to join our team in Kelowna. As a key part of the guest experience, you’ll help create the welcoming, energetic atmosphere that makes Hello Darlin’ unique.
We’re looking for someone who is confident behind the bar, passionate about hospitality, and enjoys connecting with guests. This is a late-night role, so a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Availability required: Thursday–Sunday, including late-night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, memorable guest experiences from behind the bar.
- Create genuine connections with guests while providing friendly, attentive service.
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages with consistency and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
- Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism and care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout service.
- Accurately process orders and payments using the POS system.
- Work efficiently and confidently during busy, late-night service.
- Follow all liquor service, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience.
- Valid Serving It Right certification.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, outgoing, and team-oriented personality.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence.
- Comfortable working late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience with POS systems and basic math skills.
