Position Summary
- Responsible for a timely response to the production line to ensure raw components are stocked and available to the production team members.
- Responsible for ensuring a quick response in removing finished goods from the line and accurately storing them in finished goods.
- Responsible for material handling to various areas in the plant while ensuring that the established material flow is maintained.
- Responsible for following the ACI Kanban system.
- Safe operation of forklifts to ensure efficient flow of materials
Position Responsibilities
- Responsible for following standardized work to ensure smooth internal logistics flow of material to & from the production line, with R/M & F/G’s to ensure no line down conditions occur due to material flow issues
- Responsible to pick orders accurately & follow std work
- Ensure proper safety checks are done prior to operating any equipment
- Ensure dock procedures & safety checks are done prior to loading / unloading shipping or receiving trucks
- Responsible for keeping pedestrian pathways and traffic areas clear.
- Responsible for daily 5S.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Minimum 1-2 years in a similar role.
- Minimum 1-2 years forklift driving in fast pace environment
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Certified Fork Lift License
- Manufacturing experience in an automotive, Tier 1 environment is desired.
- Familiarity with various shipping methods and shipping documentation.
