White Oak Woods Childcare Centre - Dunnville is currently accepting applications for full time contracted maternity leave position of RECE/ECA in the toddler program, from qualified and motivated candidates.
This is a 14 month contracted position from September 2026 until November 2027 with possible future opportunities.
What will you be doing:
As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with other teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:
- Take the lead in developing and implementing a program in line with Creek’s curriculum that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
- Observe and assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents, guardians and supervisor
- Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
- Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
- Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
- Adhere to all centre policies and procedures
- Follow all guidelines according to Ministry of Education CCEYA, ELECT and “how does learning happen” pedagogy
Qualifications
- Applicants must have a current Vulnerable Sector Check from the Provincial police (within the last 6 months)
- Applicants must have a Current Standard C CPR/ First Aid Certification
- Applicants must have or be willing to get their Food Handlers Certification
- Good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators is an asset
- Experience in a childcare setting is a must
- Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents
- Demonstrate skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment
- The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Fluent oral and written English language communication skills;
- Knowledge of HiMama/Lillio an asset

Additional information:
This is a full-time position. Schedule: Monday to Friday. All shifts between 6:45 am and 6:15 pm, for a total of 9 hour shifts with an hour of unpaid lunch. Closed all Statutory Holidays.
