Position:
We currently looking for Structured Cabling Technicians for ongoing work in Halifax and throughout Nova Scotia.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and install network installations, install cable pathway systems, and run, pull, terminate and splice copper and fibre optic cables
- Utilize various hand tools
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues
- Adhere to safety protocols
- Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
Requirements:
- Available to work 40 hours per week, with the potential for overtime hours, if needed
- Flexible to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends, if needed
- Available to travel throughout Nova Scotia on a regular basis
- Ability to lift 70lbs and carry, climb, and work from a ladder
- Valid driver’s license with clear driver’s abstract
- Clear criminal background check
Qualifications:
- Structured Cabling experience considered an asset
- Security systems experience including CCTV, access control, and intrusion, considered an asset
- Safety-minded, with a focus on following codes, standards and legal requirements
- Positive attitude with the ability to work well with team members and clients
- Adaptable and able to confidently make decisions under little supervision
- Self-motivated, with time management skills
