Job Summary
Grit Security is hiring Security Guards for various sites across the Lower Mainland. We are looking for reliable and professional individuals who can maintain a safe and secure environment.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones to deter theft and vandalism.
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure continuous site security.
- Control access to the premises by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Respond swiftly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting and record-keeping purposes.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security risks and implementing preventative measures.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations and company standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of law enforcement procedures and protocols to handle various security situations effectively.
- Experience with CCTV monitoring systems and surveillance technology to observe multiple areas simultaneously.
- Excellent observational skills with an eye for detail to identify suspicious behavior or security vulnerabilities.
- Ability to respond calmly and decisively during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
- Good communication skills for clear reporting, documentation, and interaction with team members or emergency personnel.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to loss prevention and maintaining a secure environment.
Valid BC Security Worker License / Basic Security Training (BST) is required.
Advanced Security Training (AST) is considered an asset.

Pay: $18.75-$21.00 per hour
