The Eye Specialists of Northern Ontario (ESNO) is an expanding practice specializing in ophthalmology (medical eye care). ESNO is based in North Bay, but serves the entire northeast region of Ontario. We are presently seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill a full-time contract position within our Diagnostic Imaging department for a one year contract.
The successful candidate must have the desire to enrich the patient experience. They must have excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Prior knowledge and experience with specific testing such as: Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Visual Fields, Auto Refractions and taking vision will be considered an asset, but is not necessary.
Outline and Expectations:
Positive attitude with a genuine interest in providing high level care for those with visual impairment
Interest in working with patients to help improve their ocular health
Enthusiasm for learning new technology in diagnostic imaging and Ophthalmology
Perform visual acuity tests, OCT, and VF
Administer dilating eye drops as needed
Help maintain accurate patient records
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Experience working in a healthcare facility (preferred but not essential)
Must display sound judgment, organizational skills, attention to detail and professionalism
Must be able to multi-task and work well in a team environment to maintain clinic flow
Ability to communicate effectively
Must be courteous and respectful
Excellent record of attendance and punctuality
Fluent in English, additional language skills are an asset
Experience is preferred but training will be provided.
