Summary
As a Petroleum Technician, you will be integral to the protection of the environment by testing fuel storage tanks, associated product piping and reporting to the Operations Manager(owner).
Your primary responsibilities will include performing regular integrity tightness tests on fuel storage systems. With essential skills in mechanical knowledge, you will also utilize hand tools and power tools effectively. Safety certifications such as First Aid, H2S Alive and Fall Protection are crucial for this role, as you will be working in potentially hazardous environments.
This position requires work and travel 5 to 6 days a week, with a company provided service truck, equipped to maintain the need of clients from British Columbia to the Manitoba/Ontario border as well as the Yukon and NWT.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain your company provided service truck.
- Perform regular integrity tightness tests on fuel storage systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks, adhering to safety protocols.
- Efficiently report all site findings and deficiencies to the owner and generating official reports. Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office is essential.
- Maintain First Aid Certification and H2S Alive training to ensure safety in hazardous environments.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete projects and tasks.
Qualifications
A driver's abstract and claims history with a minimum of 3 years is required in order to be added to the auto insurance.
A Canadian Passport is required for travel into the US to one of our affiliated training facilities (one week, inclusive).
